Steve Rush is an award-winning author whose experience includes tenure as homicide detective and chief forensic investigator for a national consulting firm. He worked with the late Joseph L. Burton, M.D, under whom he mastered his skills, and investigated many deaths alongside Dr. Jan Garavaglia of Dr. G: Medical Examiner fame. His specialties include crime scene reconstruction, injury causation, blood spatter analysis, occupant kinematics, and recovery of human skeletal remains.

A Designer and Mother who understands the postpartum journey firsthand. I founded the Rest & Nest Hub, a supportive community for new moms, and wrote/designed my first Book: The Rest & Nest Postpartum Handbook as a heartfelt, mom-to-mom companion to help mothers heal, reflect, and cherish the first three months of motherhood.

Lisa M. Pritchard is an award-winning Christian children’s author, former Teacher of the Year, and literacy educator who believes stories can help shape both strong readers and strong character.

Grateful for the gift of storytelling God placed on her heart, Lisa seeks His guidance as she creates engaging stories that nurture faith, kindness, courage, compassion, perseverance, patriotism, and a love of learning. After years in education, including service on county and state literacy teams, she is especially passionate about addressing declining literacy rates and encouraging families to read, learn, and grow together.

Lisa holds a B.S. in business from High Point University and a master’s degree in education from NCSU. She is a member of Word Weavers and AWSA and is Speak Up speaker certified.

Lisa is the creator of the Dirt Dog and Friends picture book series for ages 4–8. Dirt Dog Invites Prissy Poodle to the Prom was named the 2026 AWSA Golden Scroll Children’s Book of the Year, and Tiny Tot Tiger Says Happy Birthday, America! continues the adventures of the lovable residents of Friendship Falls. The series combines entertaining stories with meaningful lessons and activities designed to continue the conversation beyond the last page.

She is also co-author of Pets to the Rescue: A Cousin Crew Series, chapter books for ages 7–10 that combine adventure with vocabulary, literacy activities, and educational mini-lessons.

Lisa contributed the light romance “Brighter Days Ahead” to Carolina Tides, a beach anthology benefiting two women’s shelters. She also writes poetry and devotions and is an Arise Daily contributor.

When she isn’t writing, Lisa enjoys boating with her husband, baking and cooking for loved ones, and greeting quiet coastal sunrises with Jesus.

Lamana Ali's journey as a writer began in the libraries of Queens, New York, where his family relocated from Central Africa.
