I am an author from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, a 'true Yorkshire lass' as they say.  I love books and love writing even more, particularly stories with  an unusual slant, a tinge of magic within an otherwise ordinary setting.  My books are titled An Ordinary Life, The Healing and Black Sheep and I am currently half way through my fourth novel.   I am also a trends artist and professionally trained vocalist, in short - a creative with a 'scatterbrain', as I was told at school.

Living in the Pacific Northwest, Brenda has been making poetry for over 70 years.  Her book of poetry that spanned her lifetime (90 poems) was published in 2021. Pathways: Walking Through Creation was not her first but the one in print at this time.  There are also Asterino poems in the Anthology, This Uncommon Solitude. Another poetry book is coming out soon. Her first novel will also be released in 2026. A retired educator, her interests are eclectic and expansive. She currently does psychic readings; paranormal work; sells her original art and is exploring jewelry. Her enduring love is her family. Her curiosity of culture and life keep her invigorated.

Mary Elizabeth Fricke has lived her entire life within five miles of the Missouri River. She and her husband of 43 years have lived 40 of those years on a farm that has been consistently owned and operated by his family for five generations. They have two grown sons married to wonderful women and two beautiful grandchildren.

A graduate of the Writer's Institute of America and a member of the Heartland Writers Guild, she has published a number of articles in various forums and magazines. She is also a prolific ghostwriter.

Her stories, based in rural mid-western areas, concern the unique but quickly vanishing way of life on the family farm as well as other mysterious intricacies that evolve life from generation to generation. Romance is her preferred genre.

I have been writing for many years, almost my entire life, for different media outlets. I reached the point where I switched from travel reports to short stories. In recent years, I have published six or seven novels, in which I have been unable to avoid reflecting my own life experiences. I have now reached the final stage, due to my advanced age, and even as a shipwreck survivor, I want to stay afloat and breathe new achievements.

Elle is a fiction author and creator of the Twisted series, an interconnected narrative world that explores power, loyalty, and the long-term consequences of personal and professional decisions. Her work centers on complex relationships, quiet conflicts, and the moments where restraint is just as dangerous as retaliation.

Writing characters who operate in morally gray spaces, Elle focuses on tension that unfolds beneath the surface—where what goes unsaid often carries more weight than what is revealed. The Twisted series reflects her interest in accountability, strategy, and the ripple effects of choice.

When she isn’t writing, Elle is building creative systems and intellectual property across multiple formats, always with an eye toward intention over impulse.

Elle writes stories for readers who enjoy layered characters, slow-burn tension, and narratives that reward attention. The Twisted series invites readers into a world where every decision matters—and nothing is ever as simple as it seems.

Hello friends, fellow travellers, and curious souls -

I’m D.J. Gifford from Brisbane, Australia, and I’m thrilled to share that the eBook edition of ‘No, I Won’t Buy You a Drink!’ is now published!

This book is my story, shared through the lense of the character, Ricardo, and the wild, unpredictable journey that took me from the suburbs of Brisbane to the Whitsundays, across Europe to the Caribbean, through the chaos of New York, and into the heart of the Bahamas. Along the way, I faced challenges I never expected - missed flights, visa issues, hospital beds, immigration raids, and the kind of adventures you can’t forget. But I also discovered the power of kindness, the importance of saying “hello,” and the beauty of being real in a world obsessed with packaging.

Whether you’re a seasoned traveller, a dreamer, or just someone who loves a good story about resilience and connection, I hope this book will make you laugh, reflect, and maybe even see your own journey a little differently.

Now launched 12/12/25 - No, I Won’t Buy You a Drink! Is available to read wherever you are in the world.

Thank you for being part of this adventure with me.

With gratitude,

D.J. Gifford
