C. Blaine Hyatt, M.S., spent his adult life running a manufacturing business and also spent time in sales, as a farmer, in hypnotherapy, as a special education teacher, and as a coach in the public school system. He concluded his career as a professor at Fort Hays State University. He regularly gives presentations, conducts seminars, and publishes articles with his wife, Linda Lee Hyatt, Ph.D. They have four children, eleven grandchildren, and two great-grandsons.

I’m Anna - Leigh, author of The Older Woman, my first novel in the trilogy for Jamie and Jess, whom I’m sure you will love almost immediately!

When I started to write the The Older Woman I never envisioned that it would lead to anything other than a simple exercise at the start of Lockdown from a conversation with a dear friend, Mr Jarra Brown, who is also a published author.

Fast forward 4 years and here we are, about to start out on a new journey as a published author, and to think that I didn’t own a laptop, well not until Mid-July of 2020 when the shops re-opened, so as hard as this is to believe and it still amazes me now to think about it, I actually wrote The Older Woman, Ring of Hope and the first few chapters of ‘Jamie’ on my mobile phone!!!

So for now, I’d just like to say, I hope you love ‘The Older Woman’ as much as I enjoyed writing it and keep a look out for future releases

An Italian American born in New York and living in Milan, Italy. As a sci-fi fan, I enjoy interesting stories that fire the imagination. I love the genres of science fiction, action/adventure, and thrillers. I lose myself reading compelling novels and have taken inspiration to create characters and expound my stories from being captivated by reading.

My journey to creative writing has just happened. As ideas entered my mind, I began visualizing scenes and the people in them. As my imagination added detail and depth, I put my fingers on my keyboard and started writing. Creativity became a cherished hobby at first.

Optimistic views of the future through art always interest me, as I believe ours will be bright.

   Annie had an innate gift for spinning tales from the moment she could talk, and she imagined that her stories would one day find a place in the world of literature.

   Fascinated with the intricacies of life, Annie earned a BSc in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Guelph University. At the same time, she cultivated her love of books, specializing in English and Children’s Literature.    Diverse executive roles took Annie continent hopping: travelling European landscapes, embracing the vibrant cultures of Trinidad and Tobago, and crisscrossing the United States and Canada. Each place was a source of inspiration and understanding of the histories and cultures that shape some of her characters. 

I was a solicitor for several decades and at various times worked in most of the basic areas covered by general practice in England (crime, family, employment, civil litigation, wills, probate and property). I ran a small solicitor’s practice from my home near Colchester until 2020. I’m a member of several writers' groups in Essex and Suffolk, including Write Now!

I’ve published eight full-length contemporary novels on Amazon, the first five being a series of romantic-cum-crime novels set in Colchester around a fictional law firm and featuring the same main characters over a number of years. The last book in the series is also a paranormal romance. The series is called the Colchester Law World series.

As The Clock Struck Ten, a crime/mystery/psychological drama about an accusation of sexual abuse, is the sixth novel. The Unreliable Placebo, a rom-com with a difference, is the seventh novel. And the eighth novel, Class of ’97, is a mystery/psychological drama.

There are six books so far in the Roz Benedict Detective Novellas series. Further novellas in the series are planned.

Since 2023, I’ve self-published three historical novels in my Elizabeth Bennet series, Intrigue At Longbourn, Menace At Pemberley and Easter At Netherfield. A fourth novel is in progress. These historical novels are Pride & Prejudice variations.
