An innovative method for choosing books to read

Mood & Emotion Books Character & Plot

Italian. Much too old. Been a teacher for more than 30 years. Love any kind of music (with a preference for rock)  motorcycles, painting. Always wanted to write stories but started publishing just a few years ago.

Hi there! I'm Marco Magiolo, your friendly neighborhood dog trainer and dog whisperer extraordinaire. I kicked off my adventure in animal care with a degree in Veterinary Medicine from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi in Brazil—where I learned how to treat everything from feisty felines to overly enthusiastic Labradors. Over twenty years of specializing in Animal behavior have turned me into the go-to guy for dog owners who need a little help managing their furry friends' antics.

In 2012, I packed my bags and moved to Orlando, Florida, because even vets need a little magic in their lives. By 2018, I proudly became a U.S. citizen, ready to spread my animal advocacy far and wide, like a superhero for pets (cape not included).

My passion for dogs has taken me on a wild ride around the globe. For nearly two decades, I competed in Dog Agility competitions in 14 different countries. Imagine me and my canine sidekicks, going over jumps and weaving through obstacles—it's like the Olympics but furrier and with more tail wagging.

When I’m not busy being an international dog agility star, I channel my inner Shakespeare. I've penned five books and dabbled in screenwriting, sharing my wisdom and wit with the world. As a keynote speaker, I’ve mastered the art of holding an audience's attention—probably thanks to my countless hours of keeping dogs entertained.

But wait, there's more! In my off-hours, you'll find me indulging in some rather eclectic hobbies. Whether I'm burning rubber in online Formula 1 racing, savoring the delicate notes of a fine wine, or devouring M&Ms and KitKats like there’s no tomorrow, I’m all about living life to the fullest.

So, whether it’s through my books, speeches, or the latest agility competition, I’m here to make the world a better place—one wagging tail at a time.

Writing under the pen name August Clay, this author delves into fiction that sheds light on the pressing issues we all face—within ourselves, within our families, and within our communities. Driven by a deep curiosity about the human psyche, August’s stories tackle the darker truths of society through gripping thrillers, suspense, and psychological drama. Unafraid to venture beyond genre boundaries, August is as likely to transport readers to the edge of their seats as to pull them into poignant tales that spark reflection. With each story, August Clay challenges, entertains, and shines a spotlight on what it means to navigate the complexities of modern life.

When August isn't writing, he's often indulging in a love for crime docuseries and movies, gleefully dissecting every twist and turn to predict the ending before it happens (and often being right). Off the screen, you'll find him shooting hoops on the basketball court balancing his competitive streak with lighthearted fun. At home, he treasures every moment spent with his wife and two daughters. Whether it's sharing laughter, swapping stories, or just enjoying the beautiful chaos of family life.

A storyteller blending science fiction, fantasy, and adventure to create captivating tales of distant galaxies and magical realms where imagination knows no bounds.
