Writer Farid Salah Al-Hashi, (his local name in Turkey: Feriduddin AYDIN) was born in the city of Muş, in eastern Turkey, in 1945 AD. His ancestors resided in the city of Siirt, located in southeastern Turkey today, after migrating from Baghdad, the capital of the Abbasids, following the Mongol attacks in 1258 AD. The author received a multi-faceted private education from a group of scholars in various disciplines of Islamic sciences in addition to his formal education. He is fluent in Turkish, Arabic, Kurdish, English and French... Both Turkish and Arabic are his mother tongue according to the traditions of his family that inherited knowledge as heritage centuries ago. The writer gained broad horizons thanks to his travels and the foreign languages he mastered. He also benefited from the experiences he lived throughout his life. He conducted various researches on the impact of collapse and corruption on religion, language and morals during the last century in Turkey. He used to write his works in Arabic and Turkish. He is the author of many books and huge works, and one of his most famous researches is his book entitled: “The Naqshbandi Order Between Its Past and Present,” which is written in Arabic and published on the Internet.
These are the areas of interest of the author: studies of Middle Eastern issues, research on the social structure of Arab societies and Turkish society in particular, research on religious and sectarian differences, research on Sufism and the Naqshbandi method in particular, research on religious sects and ethnic problems...
