He got an A+ on the assignment, and he's been writing ever since. In 1980, he graduated High School and joined the U.S. Navy. He served as a Navy Hospital Corpsman, and was designated a Fleet Marine Force (FMF) Warfare Specialist. He is currently an executive Producer on A GOOD GIRL'S GUIDE TO MURDER, which shoots in July, 2023.
In 2014, Mark was diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer. During radiation and chemo, he began writing what would become his debut novel, NOCTURNAL, to rave reviews. Mark is now 9 years in recovery and suffers long-term disabilities related to the cancer and the treatments that killed his cancer. Grateful just to be alive, Mark pushes on. He published his second novel, BLOOD RED MOON, in September 2021 to critical acclaim and strong sales. His third novel, JUST BEFORE DAWN, a sequel to NOCTURNAL, drops in September 2023.
Mark is a proud member of the Horror Writers Association. He is represented in Hollywood by Judy Fox Personal Talent Management for his film and TV screenplays. He lives quietly with his wife in a small town on the Puget Sound in the Pacific Northwest where he divides his time between novels and screenplays.
