I’m a single mom to one grown son and the middle child of five—two brothers, two sisters, and a lifetime of small‑town Pennsylvania chaos not far from Pittsburgh. In my twenties I relocated to Ohio, where I found my calling in emergency nursing. Today, North Carolina is home base, though I spend most of the year towing my camper across the country as a travel ER nurse, working thirteen‑week contracts in hospitals from coast to coast.

I’m determined to visit every U.S. state and as many countries as I can reach. I’m an animal‑rights supporter, rescue‑dog mom, and an all‑around animal lover—especially dogs, elephants, and dragons. A girl can dream, right? (Bats remain firmly on the “absolutely not” list. They’re just creepy.)
