Rob Nesbitt, an ex-firefighter from South Wales in the UK, ventured into writing fiction in early 2020, writing a 5 book scifi novella series for the YA market.

A successful cartoonist, Rob has extended his creative output from pen, ink and watercolours to the written word and has published his adult themed Morton Scientific Investigation Series which kicked off with 'Beneath' his first full length book published on Amazon in late July 2023. 

The series is Earth bound and based in Morton-in-Marsh, a small Cotswold town in the heart of England, which Rob chose as the focus for the series, after spending six months in the town back in 1991, when he attended several back to back fire officers training courses at the British Fire Service College.

'Arrival', the next book in the series was published in November 2023. The Moreton Scientific Investigation team are sent to an alien emergency landing site in a remote Welsh reservoir. This rapidly developes into a series of murders, alien possessions and a 'whodunnit' chase through England and Wales to prevent an all out invasion of the planet.

'Transformation' the third book in the series and was published in August 2024. After several alien rock samples are stolen from the new 'Museum of Alien Life' in London and the murdered thief's body is found in Limehouse Basin, the team are asked to investigate strange and worrying deformities in fish stock at the nearby Regents Canal. Ben Sharman and his vivacious assistant Claire find themselves flown to Nevada by NASA and Homeland Security to investigate similar weird deformities of wildlife and humans, transforming them into something unworldly.

'Excavation' the fourth book in the series was published on April 2025. Ben Sharman and his team make a groundbreaking discovery beneath Stonehenge. Using a cutting-edge drone, they uncover a massive boulder deep beneath the ancient monument. But what's inside the boulder leaves them stunned—a skeleton with bizarre, alien-like characteristics. Before they can even begin to understand the significance of the find, an unexplained death rocks the team.
